Classical Singer's High School Vocal Competition 2009: To register for the first round (held Nov 1- Mar 15 in various locations across the country), call 1-877-515-9800 or visit www.ClassicalSinger.com/convention/hscomp. Chicago auditions will be held on Feb 7th at North Park Univeristy. Application deadline is one week before the competition date, but register early because Chicago fills fast. Top singers at each location advance to final rounds in Chicago May 30-31. Each singer receives written feedback from university faculty as well as a free ticket to the College Expo recruiting fair and masterclasses. Bel Canto students may use the discount code LFNATS1 to save $10 on their $75 registration fee. $2 million dollars in cash prizes and scholarships.

CCNATS 2009 Vocal Competition: Online applications will be accepted Nov 5 - Jan 5 at www.ccnats.org. The $35 registration fee and proof of age must be submitted to your voice teacher prior to the Jan 5 deadline. High school auditions will be held Feb 14th 11 AM - 5 PM at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Each participant receives written feedback from several voice teachers. Students who progress to the final round will receive additional comments from a larger panel of judges. Winners perform after the competition concludes.

CCNATS Fall Workshop: "How to Prepare and Sing a Successful College Audition" is open to all students and teachers in the Chicago area; no admission. The workshop will be held on Nov 1st, 2:00 - 4:00 PM at North Park University, Anderson Chapel, 3225 W. Foster Ave., Chicago. There will be a panel of voice teachers from six universities. Mock auditions will follow the panel presentations. Juniors and seniors who plan to continue their vocal studies in college may apply to perform a mock audition and be critiqued by the panel.
