PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN       At Bel Canto, we believe every child is musical and that music is a powerful stimulant for a child’s overall development. Kindermusik® (http://www.kindermusik.com) is the single best choice you can make for your child; each curriculum is updated regularly with new child development findings. The classes educate parents about the developmental process and prepare children for future learning environments. Meet Miss Mary Mary Burkhardt grew up in a musical family, spending many hours around the piano having sing-alongs. She has studied dance and voice, performed in musical theatre, and is on the vocal team at her church. Mary has seven kids ranging in age from five to twenty-three! Her house is still the neighborhood gathering place, and when it’s Mary’s turn to drive carpool, all the kids sing. She loves music almost as much as she loves children. Mary became a licensed Kindermusik® educator in November 2005. Meet Miss Jeanie Jeanie Carter, president and artistic director of Bel Canto Studios, has a Bachelor of Music from Millikin University. She has been part of the vocal ministry at Willow Creek Community Church since 2001, and is currently singing with the McHenry County vocal team. Jeanie is also a licensed Kindermusik® educator. She has three grown children and one terrific grandson. Miss Jeanie loves to teach music. Her passion is to put a song in the heart and mind of every child who comes to her studio.
